Enhance your visit to Alaska's Emerald Island with the tranquil atmosphere of the Celtic Mist Bed and Breakfast. Twelve miles from down town Kodiak, six miles from the airport and four miles from the US Coast Guard Base, we are located in the small community of Bells Flats on the fringe of the wilderness close to fresh water streams, view wildlife, and scenic mountain grandeur (snow capped or emerald green). The Celtic Mist Bed and Breakfast is nestled at the bottom of the mountains in the picture above.'Being on the fringe, our guests enjoy easy access to streams laden with salmon during their runs up Sargent Creek and the Russian River (three minutes by car) and the Buskin River (8 minutes). A leisure drive on the coastal highway leads explorers to Fossil Beach, abandoned World War II encampments, the Kodiak Launch Complex, and an abundance of Kodiak's wildlife: red fox, buffalo, goats, Scottish Highland cattle, Sitka deer, eagles and a variety of sea birds.
