Ms. Braid Became A Managing Partner Of Velco In 2002. 2019 Brought Changes At The Agency Which Resulted In Ms. Braid And Ms. Mahoney Becoming The Sole Owners Of Velco. This Change In Ownership Began A New Era For The Company. Ms. Braid Brought Her Skills In Marketing And Insurance Knowledge To The Corporate Specialties Of Dental And Vision Coverages, Group Health Insurance, Medicare Supplements And Other Senior Coverages.

Diane Mahoney, Vice President

Ms. Diane Mahoney Joined The Velco Family In 1988 And Became A Partner In 1993. As A President Of The Maryland Association Of Health Underwriters, A President Of The Baltimore Health Underwriters And The Chair Person For The Medicare Working Group Of The National Association Of Health Underwriters (nahu). She Was Instrumental In Focusing Attention On Medicare Reform, Long Term Care Issues, And The Phases Of Retiree Insurance Needs. Ms. Mahoney Was Involved In Strengthening The Relationship Between The Health Care Finance Administration (cms) And Nahu. In 2019 She And Her Daughter Beth Braid Became The Sole Owners Of Velco Insurance Agency. Throughout Her Years Of Working In The Insurance Industry And Particularly In The Senior Insurance Market She Has Always Strived To Service Her Clients With Up To Date Expertise And Quality Customer Service.
