About the Blackburn Ranch and Family
Ted and his father Frank were members of the Florida Cattlemens Association for over 30 years. Their ranch, at one time, which was started by Teds grandfather, encompassed some 34,000 acres. Their herd first started out as scrubs, they later purchased their first Santa Gertrudis from the King Ranch and later migrated to Beef Masters. The Blackburns, Ted and Patti, share time between Florida and their log home in Tennessee. They remain active and involved in Sarasota County.
About Jim Purdy
Mr. Jim Purdy came to Florida from Windham, Ohio in 1975 to run the Holiday Inn in Osprey. He then went on to run several other establishments including Crawdads at the Circus Bridge in Venice. His next ventures were Paulos at the Venice Airport and also The Big Easy. Coming out of retirement, he is now partners with Ted and Patti Blackburn at the Ivy.
About Our Managment Team
Our Management Team will go out of their way to do everything possible to make your dining experience at the Ivy Steakhouse enjoyable. All of our meats and chops are hand selected and hand cut by our chef daily. "In house," we make all of our sauces, soups, dressings, desserts, and our infamous twice baked stuffed potato. We welcome reservations and look forward to meeting you
