1) Lot Surveying

Lot surveying involves measuring property corners and marking areas to represent where the property is to be mapped. If there have been any disturbances to the original markings, they will be reset. The process is to done to establish all corners and property lines for transactions between a seller, lender, and potential homeowners.

2) Fence Surveying

It’s recommended to have a fence survey done in preparation of fence installations. The purpose of a fence survey is to accurately mark the property line in order to place the fence inside of the client’s estate. If the property is not marked correctly, a surveyor will provide a detailed plan and confirm where the property lines are.

3) Boundary Surveying

Evidence of boundaries is important for clients that are interested in buying property. A boundary survey can present the current existing lines of the property, as well as previously marked areas. Deeds and historical records are also resources that provide accurate information. Surveyors will be able to finalize boundaries with a complete report.

4) Topographic Surveying

This survey locates the surface features of a landscape, including natural foundations and elevations. Mapping the land will provide details on the placement of natural and man-made characteristics. Existing conditions and elevations of the site will also be available on the survey. Information gathered can be used by architects, engineers, or for construction projects that require a topographic survey.

5) Subdivision Surveying

When land is divided from a larger plot, this is called subdivision. A licensed land surveyor will draft a map of the divided plots, ensuring each lot is accounted for with a comprehensive plan. Moving forward with the subdivision also requires knowledge of lot sizes, regulations of the city, and so forth. Surveyors have the experience to manage this type of project and properly draft a legal description.
